The 2008 Turkey Season at the Bartig farm started off with a bang during youth season. Mike Fank brought his son Tyler up to hunt. Tyler scored the first morning killing his first turkey ever - a beautiful mature gobbler. Sean Smith brought his son Ryan and all had a great time.
The Burkempers came up for opening weekend of the regular season and had bad luck to say the least. Nick saw turkeys on Saturday but never had the opportunity to shoot.
The second weekend of Turkey season found Mike Fank and Tyler back in the blind. Mike took a dandy tom with his bow on Saturday morning while Tyler watched.
Tim Shroer and family came for the final weekend of turkey season. Tim and the boys did not kill a turkey but had a good time fishing and playing around the house. (plus they took home some baby kittens)
The man of the house finally killed a turkey with his bow on the last Saturday of the season.
