Maggie's Baptism

We stayed a fourth night in Old Monroe so we could attend Maggie's baptism.  She did very well, only cried a little, and then had a wonderful celebration at Tim and Brooke's.

Lunch at Katie's

Katie invited us to her house the day after Christmas to see her renovations she and Dustin made to their house and for a delicious lunch.  Jacob and Carter had so much fun with their dogs, Addie and Hazel.

While everyone else was opening their presents, Maggie realized she didn't have one yet.  Then the pouting began...

Have no fear, she finally opened hers and perked up a bit!
Grandpa wasn't feeling very well, so we came to him to have a picture taken.

Unfortunately the Bartig family wasn't feeling well this year, so I didn't get any pictures of them:(

Christmas at Home

I finally found the perfect tree for upstairs!

Carter in awe of his big pile of presents!

Sissy was a little tired, because she had to work the night before.  When we finished, she went back to bed.

This is the 16th year Santa has come early to our house so we can travel to see family on Christmas Day.  It is not the ideal situation, but it works for us!

Music Programs

Carter had 2 Christmas music programs this year.  On Wednesday after PSR, he was participated in the PSR Christmas program.

Then on Thursday, he was the star of the show at the 2nd grade program at school.  He was so animated, that his teachers and principal commented to me the next day that they loved his performance!

He also had a speaking part!

Santa Visit

This year we visited Santa at Ernest Shepherd Community Center.  Carter brought his letter he wrote to Santa and read it to him.  It was really cute!

Then they had to discuss some things.   It gets a little easier every year!
