Carter's First Easter Egg Hunt of the Year
Clayview advertised an Easter Egg Hunt for today, so I thought Carter would have fun. Of course, this brought back memories of Laura at about the same age. Granny invited her to an egg hunt in Lake St. Louis, and when we got there she wouldn't even pick up any eggs. The whole idea scared her. Well Carter was the complete opposite today. First of all he got to go on the indoor tennis courts, which he is never allowed on, so that was pretty cool. Then they had an obstacle course set up for the kids and other games which he loved. The best part was he filled his bucket with eggs. It was a complete success!!

Fun Run
Becky and I wanted to do something with the boys during Spring Break this week, but it was too cold to do anything outside, so we decided to go to Fun Run. They had a great time and earned some great prizes, too!
I love you, Mama Kitty
Mama Kitty made the move to Kearney, now she just has to learn to deal with the extra attention from Carter. Whenever she is out of the basement, Carter can't keep his hands off of her. He just loves her!!!
Happy Birthday, Laura and Nick
We celebrated Laura and Nick's birthdays last night with a dinner of spaghetti and ice cream cake, as requested by Laura. Since our week is pretty busy next week with school and other activities, Spring Break seemed the perfect time to do it. Of course, the highlight of the evening was when Mike brought out the blow torch to light the candles because we didn't have any matches!!

First Kiss
A few weeks ago, one of Carter's classmates ran up to him in the hallway as he arrived to school and gave him a good morning kiss (on the mouth). Carter stood there still a second in disbelief then ran into the breakfast room - business as usual. He saw her again at the basketball finals last night so i took the opportunity to snap a photo .... something to pass on in 13 years or so...

Carter's Haircut
Carter has been receiving haircuts for a long time. His first was by Aunt Debbie when he was about 6 months old. He has never liked them, and they have always been a challenge for the two of us. After we moved to Kearney, we started going to Mr. Hess. Mr. Hess has many cool things in his shop that interest Carter-trucks, fish, and suckers! So, needless to say, Mr. Hess has been a hit with Carter. Now he crawls into the chair by himself, sits by himself and not on my lap, and wears a cape! Life is good!!!
