Easter Egg Hunt

When we woke up, it was snowing, so the egg hunt had to be postponed until after church and lunch. Once it quit snowing, Carter spotted the eggs, and there was no stopping him.  This was the first year he hunted eggs in Kearney, so it was kind of fun! Happy Easter and Happy Birthday, Sissy!

Easter Gifts

Carter and Laura received their Easter gifts from Mom and Dad after our delicious Easter lunch on Saturday.  We planned to take Laura out for her birthday on Sunday, so we started celebrating a day early!

Coloring Easter Eggs

We spent Easter weekend in Kearney this year, so Carter was able to color the eggs all by himself.  He worked very hard at it and did a great job!

Zootopia

Mike and I took Carter and Jacob to the 3-D version of Zootopia at the Union Station Imax theatre.  Cute movie!

Easter Egg Hunt at Clayview

This year Carter asked Landon to hunt eggs with him at Clayview. They were both very successful and had a great time!
Notice the lady shooing Carter away from the little kids' egg hunt.  He saw eggs and kept going out of his boundaries.  It was quite comical!

St. Louis Zoo

We spent the first couple of days of our spring break on the east side of the state.  While Mike was busy helping Chuck with his new deck, Jane and I took Carter to the zoo.  We had a great time seeing all the animals.

Carter''s First Grade Program

Carter's class had their performance this semester, and Carter did a wonderful job!

Family Time

Mary Kay brought a carload of family to visit us over President's Day Weekend.  Mom and Dad rode along, as well as Patty Vehige. It was fun having everyone here, and lots of laughing was done!

Wrestling matches

Since Mike is a high school principal this year, we attended many sporting events at Smithville.  Carter made some new friends and found some old ones, as well.  It has been a great year!
Carter found his good friend, Colt, at a wrestling tournament.

Having fun playing with Legos at the State Wrestling Tournament.  Smithville took home the state title!

Inside winter fun

Carter stayed very busy this winter playing with army men, building forts in the basement, and making tank models with dad.

Lunch with Sissy

Before Sissy went back to NWMSU for her 2nd semester, she brought lunch to Carter at Dogwood.  He asked Reid and Jayce to eat with them. They had a great time!
