Quality time with Aunt Mary Kay and Aunt Becky

Becky and Mary Kay came to visit Carter on Monday, June 15th.

This is my new cousin!

Friday, June 19th

After braving the storm of the century on the drive up into Iowa.....We decided to take a stab at showing on the Northern Plains Club lamb circuit. Showing against the best of the best from 7 states is fun...but it is also a learning experience. Laura's competed against 80 other club lambs and showmen finishing somewhere in the middle of the field with Showtyme. We decided to scratch Jiffy as she was way in over her head. Laura also finished a respectable 4th in showmanship.

Brookfield Jackpot Show

We attended the Brookfield Jackpot Show last weekend. Laura finished 3rd in class with Jiffy (Full House Ewe) and 3rd in Class with Showtyme. Not what Laura was after but the competition was high as we saw 26 strong lambs - the best we have competed against this spring.
