Bath Time is the Best Time!

Rain Dance

After weeks of dry weather...it finally rained - Carter celebrated by running around in it!

2011/2012 Final USTA Midwest Grand Prix Rankings

The final 2011/2012 Final USTA Midwest Grand Prix Rankings are out.  Laura finished 10th in the top 100.  She maintained a 7th place ranking for most of the season with her highest week being 4th at one point. Laura had to miss the recent Master's Tournament (a playoff for rankings 1-8) due to a conflict with Track Season and missing that event caused her to fall to 10th. Still, not bad for a  14-year old girl who started the season playing  up in the Girls 16's division.

2012 Track Season

Laura ran her final race for the Kirksville Tigers on Saturday at MICDS in St. Louis.  Her 4x800 relay team did not place to advance to the State Meet next week, but they should be very proud of how well they did this season.  She also had time to take a few pics at the Track Banquet on Wednesday with some of her friends: Kelsey, Adrianna, and Audrey.

Dewey

Due to our upcoming move, we decided to sell Dewey to the owner of a sheep farm in Silex, MO (so he can get back to work!)  He left our farm last night - May 23rd.

Rye Creek

We took one last trip to the back of our property tonight and spent the evening chasing banded water snakes, frogs, and fish in Rye Creek.  Carter and Laura had a good time.

Mom my back itches!

At the risk of being reported to "family services/children's division" we share a visual of the mosquito bites on Carters back - bites of the century.  Poor Carter played outside with his shirt off for all of 8 minutes last night and this is the result.  You can thank Laura for holding up the matchbox car for scale purposes.

A Muddy Mess!

Dad changed out the brake pads on the Ford Explorer tonight and ended up pretty messy and dirty.  As usual Carter decided he had to top dad and see if he could get a little bit dirtier - he did! (Then washed it down with some poweraid)
Laura was in Moberly today  for the NCMC conference meet, and she ran the 4x800 relay and the open 800.  The relay team took 2nd place, and she placed 8th in the Open 800.  We didn't think it was too bad for a freshman.  Yeah, Laura!
