Laura is Awarded Senior Internship

Laura was one of 30 Kearney students accepted into the Northland Center for Advanced Professional Studies. Consequently, she will spend most of her senior year actually working on a live team for the Cerner Corporation - programming.  The technology based Cerner Corporation provides hospitals an integrated database with a comprehensive set of capabilities.

First Fish

Carter caught a pretty decent "first fish".  He had caught fish before with assistance but this was the first, "all by himself" moment.  It took awhile since the fish pulled drag and Carter was using a Snoopy Pole. LOL The line for whatever reason, did not break and the boy drug it to the bank for a picture before we released it.  Funny thing..he kept yelling get the net but I could not convince him it would not fit into it...he wanted it in the picture.

Nick graduated this weekend and Grandma woke up early to help young Carter start his course toward the  public school phase of his life.

We spent all day at Nick's Big Grad Party - It really was a great time - terrific food - connecting with old friends - kids playing in the street - and of course, looking at pictures and remembering how fast time passes us by.

Carter Cuts His Own Hair!

Carter decided he could a little better than Mr. Hess - A little off the top and sides and ... well just right!  Well....except for the bald spot!

Kearney Prom 2014

We had a houseful of girls on Saturday afternoon for Kearney's Prom.  Laura invited them for lunch, so she set the table with china and crystal.  Then they started arriving, and we ate about 11:30.  After lunch, hair and makeup was done for about 9 girls and finally finishing about 3:30.  We took a few pictures at our house, then we went to another house, but it was rained out after a few shots.  Finally Laura met up with her date in Kearney, and the rest his history.
