Laura Wins the 2015 Aspirations in Computing Award
The 2015 Aspirations in Computing Awards for the Western Missouri & Kansas affiliate will be held at Perceptive Software headquarters at 8900 Renner Blvd, Lenexa, KS, today/February 6, from 1pm to 4pm. Laura won the award and 2500 students applied. The award recognizes girls from across the nation that excel in programming.
Laura was received a crystal trophy and a second version which will be gifted to the Kearney High School to be displayed on her behalf. She also received a complimentary goodie bag full of $$$ of technology such as a VIVOFit from Garmin and items from other sponsors. Laura is pictured below with the runner up (Also pictured is Curt Kelly her mentor from NCAPS) at the reception that followed the event - very high end.
