Powell Gardens

Becky and I took the boys to Powell Gardens for the day.  There were Lego sculptures displayed, which is the attraction that brought us there.  A good time was had by all!

Carter and Jacob Went Swimming Today

Carter and Jacob swam and played at Clayview Country Club while Sissie worked.  Laura had to "sternly" tell the boys to stop running a couple times.

Carter's First T-Ball Game (as Spectator)

Carter intently watches as Jacob plays t-ball. Jacob put on a pretty good show laying down big hits.  Later, Carter said he thought he would like to "play that t-ball" next year.

Jesse James Park

After getting closelined in the face by the rope walking structure minutes after arrival, Carter settled down and ended up having a pretty good time.   Later, a big chested woman pulled up in a real Monster truck - Carter really liked the truck, dad...well, he thought the lift kit was worth a couple looks.

Visit to Tryst Falls

Carter and dad went and waded/caught crayfish and bugs at the falls while Sissie mowed through the consolation bracket at the Plaza Downtown Tennis Tournament.  

Swim Lessons....Part Three... If Carter would just listen to us!

After a rough start with swim lessons followed by a lot of whining Carter not only got through a lesson but even had fun.  We could kiss him and clobber him at the same time.  

Laura's First Mission Trip

Laura and the youth of our parish traveled to downtown KC for their annual mission trip.  While there, they did several service projects for groups in the area, plus they had some special time with Jesus. It was a tough trip for Laura to do because she just returned from a tournament in Springfield, but I think it was well worth it for her.

Carter's 4 yr old pictures

Lissy did it again! I wasn't sure how the pictures would look, since we don't have the scenery we had in Kirksville, but I think they are fabulous. She caught his true personality!!

Carter's Birthday

We traveled to Old Monroe over the weekend and celebrated Carter's Birthday with the Reller family.  Becky made a delicious cake, Carter received a few presents, and the Birthday Song was sung.  A good time was had by all!

Then before we left Carter had a little PaPa time...
