I Got Accepted!!!

Applying to the Doctoral Program at MU was a long and effortful process for me. I started it with immense motivation which (thankfully) almost never wavered throughout the process. It took a lot of time and energy on my part. The interview/assessment process was rigorous to say the least. Anyway, I found out over the weekend that I was officially accepted. Yeah!!! Now the real fun will begin. I have an on-campus orientation in late April and then leave home to spend the month of July on campus. Fortunately, I have a patient and supportive wife!

Spring Break in Branson

We spent spring break in Branson with Uncle Mark and Aunt Trisha. The boys spent 3 days fishing for trout while the ladies shopped and played with Jack, Josh and Laura. Everyone went to the Dixie Stampede Friday night and had a blast. Uncle Mark has a cool condo in Branson so it is always a treat to stay there.

The Boys of Spring are Back!

We woke up to the sounds of spring this morning as two big tom turkeys escorted a group of about 30 hens to our backyard. I decided to snap a picture and share the experience. The weather was terrific all day so we took advantage of it and got a bunch of work done on the new barn.

This is me at 6 months pregnant

Update: Amy's got the "6-months-pregnant-clothes don't fit-no sleep" 41 year old woman blues. And trust me...when she ain't happy....ain't nobody happy. Enjoy the pic.
