Snow storms, Tornados and Floods

It was 75 degrees and sunny today. I think it is safe to say that warm weather is finally here. I took a pic of this iris tonight as I found it amazing that it survived the tornado. Several of its cousins were not so lucky.

We bought a new trailer last week from Cowtown in Cuba Missouri. Decided that after the lamb box crashed in February enough was enough.

Show Season Starts Saturday

Saturday, May 23rd kicks off club lamb show season for Laura. She will show in Cameron on Saturday 5/23 and Sunday 5/24 in Centralia. We will look forward to seeing Granny and Grampy at the Centralia event. The weekend of the 30th and 31st Laura will be showing in Brookfield (30) and Sedalia (31st)(Baby willing). We bought a new sheep trailer last week so that the ladies can ride in style. (Will post pics soon)

Laura has high hopes this season for the highly acclaimed "Showtyme" (pictured). Hopefully..... she will live up to her high expectations this weekend. Showing second to Showtyme will be Jiffy. (will post pics soon) Jiffy is out of "Full House" breeding stock. Our wether, "Pauli Walnuts" has sore mouth so he will have to wait till the next show to "rough up" the competition.

It was a good morning.......

On a cold and wet windy spring morning,to get out of bed at 4, a groaning.Knowing not what this day will bring,wet snow or cold rain in early spring.The woods was damp no sounds could be heard,setting there motionless not saying a word,As daybreak appeared, a light frost was due,first turkey we saw, off the roast he flew.Wings were spread to the ground with a thump,fly down breaking limbs just clearing a stump.His long beard hung low, just off the ground,then to hear him gobble, gobble Oh what a sound.Be quiet when you enter the woods, make no sound,walk softly making no noise, turkeys could be around.Listen to the sounds they make durning a struta cluck, a gobble, gobble, but beware of the putt.
