Despite fighting an ear infection and crying at night....Carter found it within himself on Halloween to slide into his pumpkin costume and crack a grin.

Spooky Party
This is what happens when you turn your barn into a dance hall, build a fire and invite around 20 - 13 year olds to your house. Laura and friends had a good time walking through the haunted trail that meandered through our woods. Hanging out on the hay bales in the barn and warming up by the fire was a hit. Oh Yeah, there was also a pie eating contest and fear factor eating game. Lots of fun!
Successful Youth Hunt
Tyler Fank took this nice buck on the first evening of Youth Season. Laura still does not want to hunt :-( Maybe Carter will decide to he likes hunting.....but for now we revel in Tyler's success!

And then there were five....
Update: we know longer have a 6 toed cat up for adoption. Unfortunately, Amy (the crazy cat lady) ran over "Toes"... "toes" tonight with the car. It was a sad day for Laura as she had grown pretty fond of him.
